I have been on my dads insurance that is provided for by his job. I was married last year and my husband was AGR so we received TRICARE. He has since finished active duty and we are no longer insured. My dad never took me off his insurance (mainly bc he forgot) but can I still use it?? My main concern is that it would be under my maiden name. We will be enrolling in another form of TRICARE but I will not be able to use it until after the first of March. I am in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth and need them out desperately. I am not aware of the laws and regulations for this matter and would never want to do something illegal or fraudulent. It turned out, the guy's insurance had expired just 1 month before. We told the guy and he said okay and will pay by cash. My dad went to the autodealer and the price is about $4000. So the problem is now, we've been keep calling him and he doesn't pick up. He picked up the first couple of times, but now he doesn't anymore. We told him the price already. What should we do? I am 19 and just passed my test (UK). I have a 1.0 liter Micra and I have put my details in confused.com comparison website. The quotes I am getting are around 4000. Is this right ? it seems too much. Any ideas?

Insurance for additional drivers has shot up?

I'm 16 and looking forward to buying my first car, so a few weeks ago i saw that if i was the additional driver on my dad's policy it would only cost around 400. However i have tried a few recently and they all have shot up to 1500+!!!!! Does anyone know why? It's ridicuolous how much they are trying to charge me for first years insurance.

She wants to get certified as personal fitness trainer, and so she will be dropped off of my insurance, since this is not a full time student program. She was 18 in June, and lives in Texas. She is going to soon have to be dropped of of my health insurance. I do not think that Applebees provides any insurance for hourly employees. She also has asthma, although not real bad, but this is a pre-existing conditions. Will she be able to get any kind of affordable health insurance, or is she just going to have to be one of the millions who can't have health insurance?

Can you be denied insurance coverage because of a PJC on your driving record thats more than 3 years old.?

My wife just got selected for a job in NC with our local paid EMS. They selected her but said there insurance company wouldn't cover her because of a PJC from 2003. PJC's go away every 3 years its been 4. Insurace companys cant use PJC's to raise rates and PJC are off your driving record at the DMV and insurance aftrer 3 years. So can they legally deny her coverage for that? Its on her permanent record like any one else with a PJC but its not a moving violation! Its just there for records thats it. The company driving policy she meets whats up with the insurance. I think this is illegal after 3 years. Does any one know?

For me, it was every year for as long as I remember. Never did my insurance premium go down. But for some reason, everyone is up in arms because a few people, a small percentage have rate increases. But they also get more coverage, better policies, and some can get insurance for the first time.

I got into an accident where I hit someone s bumper in a parking lot. I reported to my insurance company and they took care of it with $750. I was 100% at fault, and expected my renewal to go up, but when it came out, it was $800, which is 100% more than my usual insurance of $400 Does it suppose to go up 100%??!!! And this price will stay on for 6 years!!! That means by the end, I would end up paying $1800 more just to the company!! $1000 more than what I would've paid the guy!! I just switched to GEICO last week and unfortunately got a 'fail to stop red light' citation from SoCal DMV... they required me to pay 480$ for the ticket and 535$ + course fee for traffic school if I need one. I really don't want to pay for the traffic school but afraid it will affect my insurance rate later. currently I am paying 760$ every 6 months for full coverage on 2 mid-size cars. Need help with health/dental insurance!?

I have been on my dads insurance that is provided for by his job. I was married last year and my husband was AGR so we received TRICARE. He has since finished active duty and we are no longer insured. My dad never took me off his insurance (mainly bc he forgot) but can I still use it?? My main concern is that it would be under my maiden name. We will be enrolling in another form of TRICARE but I will not be able to use it until after the first of March. I am in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth and need them out desperately. I am not aware of the laws and regulations for this matter and would never want to do something illegal or fraudulent.
